A JOURNEY TO CLARITY AND CONFIDENCE
So many big-hearted people are being held back from their brilliance.
Quietly carrying the weight of feeling undervalued, scattered, or stuck in patterns they can’t quite explain. Knowing their work matters but not creating the impact or income they desire.
That was me.
I thought I was doing everything right. I worked hard. I earned early. I saved smart. But despite all that effort, something still wasn’t clicking.
It was only when I resigned from my corporate job in my early thirties – unsure what was next and feeling sapped of self-worth - that I discovered the hidden thread that runs through all of our lives, but so many of us keep tripping over.
Sustainable income and impact comes from two things: absolute clarity on what matters most, and the confidence to pursue it boldly.
The Early Foundation
Both sides of my family were business owners. So I learned early what it meant to work hard and be independent.
But at twelve, when my dad left, I had to grow up fast. I became fiercely self-reliant, determined never to be a burden, and never wanting to ask for more.
By thirteen, I had my first job. By sixteen, I was juggling three - including my own guitar teaching business.
I was focused on three things: freedom, safety, control.
But somewhere in all that early ambition, I picked up a belief that my value depended on how much I gave, not what I asked for in return.
The Tipping Point
For over 15 years, I channelled that drive into helping purpose-driven organisations create real impact.
I became the person leaders turned to when they needed to make sense of complexity - I built shared strategies and productive cultures across the NHS and their partners, designed nationwide marketing and fundraising campaigns, and trained over 800 healthcare professionals in accessible communications.
But despite being smart, strategic, and driven, I still hadn’t discovered my own inner value. The result? My career was filled with underpaid roles and missing pay rises and promotions I deserved.
Eventually, I walked away from what should’ve been my dream job. I was exhausted. Invisible.
I knew that I had a killer skill set in strategy, leadership, and delivery, and going freelance was the next step.
But with my self-confidence at an all-time low, a voice inside my head was whispering, “maybe I’m not cut out for this.”
The Wake-Up Call
On the outside, I was doing all the 'right' things. But underneath, I was still playing out that childhood script: give everything, avoid asking for more.

In the earliest days setting up Moon & Mountain, I'll never forget the moment a potential client asked for my freelance day rate.
I froze. My stomach flipped. I wanted the ground to swallow me whole!
Here I was - someone who'd managed complex strategies, worked with C-Suite partners, and trained hundreds of professionals - unable to value my own expertise.

At that moment, it all cracked wide open. This wasn’t about money at all. This was about my worth.

And for the first time in my life, I saw that money was reflecting everything I believed about myself.
The Worth-Wealth Connection
Once I saw how deeply my self-worth was shaping my financial reality, I couldn't unsee it.
So I did the work - unearthing old stories, rewiring beliefs, healing the disconnect between my capabilities and my confidence.
The transformation was so significant, I had to train as a Money Mindset Coach.
I discovered that every stuck project, financial wobble, or moment of self-doubt had the same root: a foggy sense of direction mixed with a dip in self-worth.
Now I help purpose-driven people bridge that same gap – with my Strategic Support and through The Money Quest.
And every single time, the shift comes when you get clear on what matters to you and gain the confidence to achieve it.
